Seminary Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Hello,

 

We are the Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary of Philadelphia. Our seminary looks at forming priests from all over the world, and right now, we have men from the United States, South America, Europe and Asia.

Alongside prayer, study and work, a huge part of our formation is going on spiritual pilgrimages. We have visited many shrines throughout the country as well as joining some other parish youth to attend World Youth Day. These pilgrimages are essential to the strengthening and solidifying of our vocations. In fact, many of our vocations were first discovered during World Youth Day.

With each visit we pray a rosary for our benefactors and celebrate Mass for all their intentions.

We have also held vocational pilgrimages with men who are discerning a vocation.

After a difficult two years filled with fear and anxieties in our world, we have seen the need this year to go and offer prayers for the whole human race. This summer, we plan to go on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land to visit the sites of Jesus himself and pray for the needs of the world.

 

We have been raising funds by asking our families and doing yard work for the local community, but we understand this is an expensive trip.

 

We know that the Lord repays each person one-hundredfold for their generosity. Every little bit helps, and we have seen that God provides with a little help of concrete people rather than a single "big donation". Thank you for helping us experience this event in our formation toward the priesthood. Be assured of our prayers as we pray every day for our benefactors.
