The Opportunity I’ve Been Given:
I am reaching out to you to seek your help so that I can take part in a summer program. Currently, I am finishing up the second year of my formation at The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. I am very thankful to have been accepted into a program hosted by the Institute for Priestly Formation, which is designed specifically for diocesan seminarians and fulfills what the Church is recommending in the document on priestly formation when it suggests that a seminarian take an extended time to encounter the Lords’ love. “A man’s priestly life is more joyful and more fruitful when he engages in priestly ministry while at the same time living in intimate and unceasing union with God. IPF programs and resources aim to assist seminarians with tools that will help them to safeguard their relationship with the Trinity during their seminary years and beyond into active priestly ministry (quote from IPF website).” (more information on the program below)
The Cost for this Summer Program:
This summer program costs: $9,445.00 which is the total for housing, tuition and fees. This cost includes 9 credit hours, all of my housing, meal plan, and an individually directed 8-day silent retreat. The program runs from May 27th – July 28th.
How You Can Help:
This excellent program is going to require your generosity in helping to fund the $9,445 to pay all the necessary expenses required to participate in this opportunity.
I know that this summer program will deepen my love for the Lord and allow Him to work through me so that I can bring Christ to others in a more concrete and full way. Undoubtedly, this program will aid me in my current apostolic works as well as prepare me to serve God’s people in all situations in the future.
Please support me in making this a reality! I know that every gift is a sacrifice on your part, but please know your generosity will not be forgotten by me. All donations are greatly appreciated and I will remember you in my prayers. The Lord has blessed me abundantly these past years, and I know that with your help my attendance at this program will be a possibility. Thank you!
Please share this with others who you know would be willing to support me. God bless you for your generosity and thank you!

More about the Institute for Priestly Formation:
The Institute for Priestly Formation is an organization that offers high level formation for priests and seminarians. Their summer program designed specifically for diocesan seminarians is what I am planning on attending. Here is some information on the summer opportunity from their website:
Since 1995 the Institute for Priestly Formation has offered an intensive spiritual formation program for seminarians on the campus of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. This program emerged from the desire to set aside time in seminary formation solely for development of a more intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ and for an immersion in the identity of diocesan priesthood, in some ways a kind of “novitiate” experience for diocesan seminarians. . . . IPF serves seminarians by providing the setting in which they can fall more deeply in love with God. A man’s priestly life is more joyful and more fruitful when he engages in priestly ministry while at the same time living in intimate and unceasing union with God. IPF programs and resources aim to assist seminarians with tools that will help them to safeguard their relationship with the Trinity during their seminary years and beyond into active priestly ministry.
