Greetings, my name is Jamal Hilton, and I am a senior Accounting major from Chicago, IL, attending Jackson State University. Due to an error on the university’s part, I am now required to pay $2,500 by September 3, 2025. The university mistakenly added $5,000 to both my Fall and Spring semester accounts but failed to inform me until mid-summer that my scholarship was removed from my Spring 2025 account.
Over a seven-week period, I attempted to resolve this issue by contacting the university, but my calls went unanswered, and I faced disrespectful treatment. When I visited the school in person to address the situation, the financial aid office informed me that, despite the university’s error, I must still pay the $2,500 by the deadline. If I fail to do so, I risk losing both my financial aid and all scholarships for the Fall semester.
I am seeking any assistance that can help me meet this financial obligation. All contributions will go directly toward paying off this balance to support my education in my senior year. Thank you for your support.
