Hello! My name is Parker King and I am a senior at Pepperdine University, as well as a resident advisor (RA) at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, CA. Here at the ranch we have 70+ Pepperdine students living in 11 different houses all throughout the property. If you have been watching the news recently, then you have likely heard about the Woolsey Fire that is currently burning in Malibu and Thousand Oaks. This fire has affected numerous Pepperdine students both on and off campus, and has sadly destroyed 4 of the student houses here at Calamigos. The students living in these houses have lost most, if not all, of the possessions they left behind when we evacuated early Friday morning. This GoFundMe’s purpose is to raise funds for these students to help them with housing/lost items/and ultimately adjusting back to normal life. Any amount helps!! We are extremely grateful that everyone is safe and accounted for, and we would greatly appreciate your prayers at this time! A verse in Scripture that has always stuck with me now has new meaning in the context of these losses. Please consider helping your neighbors, both near and far, in the wake of disaster.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ... and let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up!
