Selina’s fight with FTD

Hello, my name is Nikki. My sister Tiffani and I are organizing this fundraiser to help our mother, Selina Raymond and father, Russell Raymond, with medical expenses. Two years ago we began our journey on trying to figure out what was wrong with Mom. After multiple doctor visits, tests and scans, we received a diagnosis in May of 2021. Frontotemporal Dementia, FTD. FTD, an aggressive form of dementia, is a group of disorders that occur when nerve cells in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain are lost. Unfortunately, there are no treatments and ultimately will be fatal. As you can imagine, our family has been overwhelmed. Mom has required 24/7 care for quite sometime now. Sadly, at the age of 57, she has lost herself completely. The pain and loss brought on by this terrible disease has taken its toll on us emotionally and financially. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. All funds will go to helping with medical bills, along with everyday necessities such as medications, diapers, etc. throughout the rest of Selina’s FTD journey.
