Self-sufficient orphan farm

Through the Urantia Book online community I met Derrick Pare, a wonderful young man who has dedicated his life to helping orphans in his home country of Uganda.  Uganda has 1 million AIDS orphans, so if you live in Uganda and your lights are on, you are raising orphans.  Derrick Pare has a luminous, loving personality.  He organized Encourage Youth Ministries to meet the needs of orphans.

I introduced Derrick to Permaculture and the work of Geoff Lawton, our generation's great permaculture teacher.  Derrick grasped the point of permaculture:  shaping each property into a self-sustaining, water harvesting, human manure composting food forest that potentiates people care and earth care.  Geoff Lawton has offered Derrick a discount to take the online permaculture course that starts April 1, that will cost $1,000.   We want to raise $500 more for a computer so Derrick can participate on a larger screen than his cell phone, total $1500.  I am looking for 150 people to contribute $10 each, and more important, form a team to support the brave and compassionate work of this young man who is himself an orphan, yet who has dedicated his life to caring for earth and orphans.
