I'm raising money to make a short film that will serve as the trailer for a series I'm creating called Self-ish
STORY
Self-ish seeks to explore the love-hate relationship we all have with ourselves, with that voice inside our head that tells us we are important, that cries out for attention, that tries so hard to get everyone to like us.
This story is about our Ego.
But what happens when your Ego knocks on your door and asks to move in?
Hijinks of course.
The story is told through the eyes of Max, a newly in debt and unemployed college graduate, struggling to find his place in the "real world". Facing eviction, crippling student debt, and a nasty breakup, Max turns to his only friend and ally. His Ego, Gary.
Gary moves in, promising to help Max find himself by offering him everything he could ever want: fame, fortune, women, but most of all, self-importance.
This is what Self-ish seeks to explore. Our need to feel special. Our need to be loved. Our need "to be somebody" in this world. And how when we focus so much on how we wish to be seen, we forget about everyone else.
We become Selfish.
DETAILS
I will be using the 5,000 dollars to create a short film to then be used as a pitch video for a larger crowdfunding campaign, as well as be used to show to investors and larger studios.
The money will be used for:

Awesome Crew-Members
