Help Selfie Saturday Get Back on the Road
Donation protected
On Saturday morning, our beloved campus Uber driver, known to so many of us as “Selfie Saturday,” was involved in a serious hit-and-run accident. He was struck head-on by another vehicle. Thankfully, he is safe and remains in good spirits — but unfortunately, his car was completely totaled in the accident.
For years, Selfie Saturday has been more than just a driver; he’s been a cornerstone of the University of Arizona community. Whether it was early morning rides to class, late-night pickups from events, or simply offering a safe way home, he has made it his mission to make sure UA students are cared for and transported safely. His rides aren’t just about getting from point A to point B — they’re an experience filled with music, laughs, conversations, and, of course, the iconic selfies that gave him his nickname. His positive energy has helped foster a stronger, more connected campus community.
Unfortunately, because his car was his main tool for work, he has now lost his primary source of income. Without it, he cannot continue providing the service that so many of us rely on and love. That’s why we are coming together as a community to support him — just like he has supported us countless times.
We are raising funds to help Selfie Saturday get a new vehicle and get back on the road where he belongs. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a huge impact. Let’s come together and show him how much he means to the Wildcat family!
