BE YOUR OWN LAWYER FIRST
When access to the legal system is limited to those who can afford to pay, justice is underserved. Due to inflated legal fees, there is an increase in do-it-yourself litigants, as noted by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch during his recent confirmation hearing. As a retired attorney, I decided to coach people on thinking strategically while managing their own legal affairs.
I will use the funds raised in this campaign to promote access to resources that support people handling their own legal affairs, including self help legal clinics, networking with other litigants, and creating strategic outlines for clients. My business model includes preparing other retired attorneys to do legal coaching at rates well below practicing attorneys.
I have a background in mediation, contracts, probate, real estate and health care, and have over 20 years experience providing litigation support to medical malpractice and personal injury attorneys. I am an advisor to CommonSpace Community Land Trust and I chair the NorCal Elder Council of The Mankind Project. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and attended Boalt Law School. Additionally, I have studied Somatics and Structural Integration and have trained in Aikido since 1980.

He defended holistic health practitioners and pioneered role clarification and published and lectured on the healthcare contract. He is a special consultant to other attorneys on medical issues in malpractice cases and an advisor to CommonSpace Community Land Trust. Jerry discovered the use of piano as biofeedback training for unwinding tensions associated with a congenital spasticity. He is now teaching others, including experienced musicians. Feedback Piano currently includes original improvisations on themes by George Winston, William Ackerman, Ralph Towner, Vangellis, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Eric Satie and Arvo Part and Ludovico Einaudi.
