Selene’s fight against Cancer

Hello, my name is Maria, and others know me as Sule. I’m funding this account to help my beautiful sister Selene Gutierrez. Many of you already know that back in March she was diagnosed with breast cancer. On May 4th she had surgery (Lumpectomy) to remove the cancer, and yesterday June 26th she started chemo. They recommended chemo because when they tested the cancer her oncotype score came back a bit high for recurrence rate somewhere else in the body. After chemo she is going in for a double mastectomy to avoid radiation or ever having to get mammogram again, and most importantly for peace of mind. Selene is doing something called “cold cap” while doing chemo. Cold caps will reduce the hair loss caused by some types of chemo. This will help her keep 60-70% of her hair. Cold capping is painful, but Selene is willing to go though the pain, so that her kids don’t see her without hair because she feels that it will be very hard for them. Selene is being strong and she never complains. She always has a smile on her beautiful face even while she’s in pain. I’d like the funds to go to her cold capping bills as they are pretty pricey. Marco, Selene’s husband, has also been missing work to be there for Selene, and their house is under construction. All funds will go to help this beautiful family with any extra expenses that they have. Please consider sharing and donating for this cause. We love The Gutierrez, and we want to bless them. Thank you for your donations, and most importantly for all your prayers.
