Help Selene Wallace Record Her Debut EP

Hello! If you're unfamiliar with me, allow me a brief introduction.

I am Selene Wallace, an indie grunge-ie pop rocker in Seattle, WA, and I'm just getting started, having already performed in venues around Seattle such as Tractor Tavern and The Sunset Tavern. I have a single, Daedalus, out on all platforms except for Spotify (they can have it when they start playing nice with their business practices and ethics). I am known for lyrics that hit like rum and twist like a knife, catchy little melodies, and a voice most commonly described as, "powerful, emotive, and surprising to come out of someone of your stature." Think Jeff Buckley and PJ Harvey with a little Veruca Salt for taste.

The time has come to record an EP, called Emotional Exhibitionism. I have the opportunity to record at the historic London Bridge Studio here in Seattle, WA, and while I will be pouring as much of my own funds as I possibly can into this endeavor, I'm going to be very honest and tell you that I am the archetypal starving artist to the point I'm too starved to be allowed to sell plasma to fund this EP, so here we are. I'll outline the answers to common questions below:

  • "Why should I care?"
Fantastic question. While I typically try to have no personal vestment in whether or not others care about what I'm doing, this is an exception. Please care about this album. I invite you to care about this album. This EP, Emotional Exhibitionism, is going to be a four song tour-de-force of human experience. There will be a song about how strange it feels to be living in the world the last five years or so while everything seems to blow up around us and still be told, "eh, you're not old enough to be so tired," and all that ilk. There will be a song about a slow-to-burn, quick-to-burn-out dalliance that just goes to show that confessions of love made at 4 am from across the Atlantic rarely end well. There will be two other songs that I should leave off describing in order to maintain some modicum of mystery for you to be intrigued by once the EP is complete.

In short, you should care because I care, and in my caring, you may find pieces of yourself reflected in ways you are fond of and maybe even grow attached to.

  • "When are you doing this, anyways?"
Another great question, aren't you a smart cookie! I will be doing this once the funds are in place. I am not solely relying on this fundraiser to finance this project, I will be hustling as much as I can in order to make this happen ASAP. Tentatively, the goal is to make this happen in the first few months of 2026.

  • "What do I get out of this?"
You get to be on the ground level of supporting a local artist in their burgeoning. You get no small amount of gratitude from me. I'm sure we can work something out with some free merch, later on. And if you really, really want, I'll send you a personal thank you card with lots of kisses on the envelope, just send me an email.

If you've read this far, I'm blowing you a kiss right now anyways. I am very grateful if you have contributed, there is no amount too small and every little bit counts.

I'll see you in dreams, xo Selene
