On Friday August 6, Selena was involved in a car accident that left her car totaled, and her body broken. She is at Legacy Emmanuel with a broken pelvis, sacrum, and pubic rami as well as multiple vertebrae fractures in her lower back. She currently can't lift her legs but has feeling in them. She also has a punctured lung and broken ribs. Her arm has a morel lavellee with a hematoma below it that may need to be surgically removed. Her pelvis is not displaced, and they gave her the option for surgery, however given the high risk for issues later on she declined at this time. There may be damage to her bladder, they are waiting for some swelling to go down to fully determine.

Selena will need to be in the hospital for a while, probably over a week and after she gets out she will have to be in a wheel chair for 8-10 weeks.

Selena needs a lot of help at this time. As she just started a new job, she is unqualified for any leave benefits. She has a lengthy recovery ahead of her. Any help would be much appreciated.
