SEL360: Social Emotional Learning for our Youth

Donation protected

Here’s the problem:

COVID-19 and student Mental Health are leaving a devastating mark in our society

- 3.2 million adolescents in Canada are at risk of suffering from depression

- In the U.S. suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among persons aged between 10–34 yrs. old.

- Only 1 in 5 children who need mental health services ever get support

As result of loss in their lives such as losing family and friends, rites of passage, jobs, money, and a general sense of what their future holds, teens are struggling across the globe.

Something needs to be done to support those struggling with anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation.

Don’t let YOUR child become another statistic!

This is how we’re part of the solution:

SEL360 (Social Emotional Learning) is a mental health initiative designed to help reduce the stigma, and provide resources and support for youth, adolescents, and their families who struggle with mental health.

Our team is comprised of youth service professionals who collaborate via round-table discussions to reduce the stigma, create more awareness, and provide support for students and their parents dealing with mental health issues.

We achieve this through roundtable platforms, such as interviews with industry experts to normalize experiences with mental health challenges, a Teen Talks video series to share the voices of the youth, and an upcoming website that will offer an integrated network of mental healthcare providers whose services will either be free, paid, or subsidized.

These are some of our collaborators:

- Mental Health Commission of Canada
- Jack.org
- Lighthouse Counselling Center
- ANEB (Anorexia et Boulimie Québec)
- Amcal Family Services

How can you help?

When ignorance is no longer bliss …

If you, or someone you know has a story to share or ideas that can benefit others, contact us at [email redacted] and find out how you can become part of an interview panel. For safety and consent, we require parents to sign release forms.

Any and all contributions are most welcome. With your help, we can extend our impact to more adolescents, and save more lives.

We appreciate any donation to kick-start our efforts for the communities around the globe.

Our promise: 100% of proceeds will go to creating more impact in our community.

We will do this, specifically by:

- Attaining charitable organization status

- Developing a website to help disseminate important information

- Producing the Teen Talk interview series

Our mission is to help reduce the public and self-stigma of mental health challenges, reduce levels of student anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues.

Our board is composed of 10+ professionals selected from various sectors:

Education. Psychology. Religion. Social Work. Addiction. Healthcare. Students.

At SEL360, we aim to help adolescents improve social skills, confidence, interpersonal skills, and resilience through the framework of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) by providing resources and support for parents and their children.
