SEKA England seeks your support!
We are SEKA England, a passionate group of multi-disciplined Karate students who are committed to competing at the highest level. However, in order to achieve our goals, we need your support!
In July 2023, the WUKF World Championships will be held over four days in Dundee, Scotland, where 40 of Kensho's students have been selected to represent their country under SEKA. For many, this is the start of their competition journey and a fantastic opportunity to compete against the very best in the world. SEKA does not benefit from sponsorship and must therefore always work to raise its own funds to help cover the costs that come with these events. Should you wish to donate, you will be enabling these local competitors to achieve their goals and dreams. Any generous contributions will go towards the cost of each competitor's entry fees and the whole team's tracksuits, including any additional required kit. The World Championships are very rarely held this close to home, so we are taking this opportunity to take our largest team yet and introduce the next generation of athletes to this level of competition. SEKA has a demonstrated track record of success; in 2022 a number of our competitors became world and european medallists - some even champions.
Our Sensei and founder at Kensho Karate dojo, and president of SEKA, Lee Lamb, is a highly renowned instructor and competitor in the world of karate. His most notable achievements to date include:
Commonwealth gold medallist (2008), WKF world cup champion (2008), double WUKF World & European champion (2022).
Any donations, no matter how small, are gratefully received and much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
