Hi everyone, I'm Brittany and I'm raising money for a seizure alert and response dog to try to get some normalcy back to my life. I have suffered from seizures since I was 3 years old. I am a registered nurse who used to love to work and help my patients, to go for runs, to go out with friends, to go for walks on the beach, to try new things, and to just leave my house in general.

Since 2023, I have been intubated (put on a ventilator) a total of 6 times related to my seizures. My new "normal" has become a visit to the hospital a few times a year, if not a month. I am terrified to leave my house on my own. I am currently unable to work, unable to drive, and have lost my sense of independence and purpose.

I have found a wonderful trainer who has found me a dog well suited for me as well as willing to provide the training required. However, seizure alert/response dogs are very costly and not covered by insurance.
