Cici’s type of epilepsy places her in the highest risk group for sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). As you can imagine, this is our absolute worst fear. 
Since Cici began having seizures last year, she has slept with one of her parents. We have purchased a monitor but it doesn’t notify us if Cici is seizing in her sleep, so there is no peace of mind because she must be immediately attended. 
There is a new seizure monitoring system available in the US but it is very expensive and it is not covered by an insurance. This system would alarm us immediately when a seizure begins.
We could apply for a grant, but that process takes months, so we would love to raise enough money to be able to purchase the system outright, along with the wristband that alerts us when she has a seizure during her waking hours.
