Seim Family House Fire

The Seim familys house was struck by lightning the evening of Saturday, August 18th at about 7:30pm in McKinney, TX.  Their home is located in ElDorado Country Club on Sunset Ridge and the fire department fought the fire until 2:00am Sunday morning. I would have to think all that witnessed the event have a new and profound respect for what fireman do everyday.

While 3 family members were in the home when the lightning struck, all members of the family are safe and no injuries occurred.  With the help of neighbors, they were able to save the dog and their pet hedgehog as well.

All bedrooms were on the 2nd floor and the fire started in the attic.  The house is considered by the fire department and the family as a total loss.  While the family is in good spirits, what they need right now, and what they will need over the course of the next several weeks has not yet been fully realized.

This go-fund-me is to assist them in maintaining some level of comfort during this time of need. Anything you can afford to donate will help tremendously.
