Help Ala to go to rehabilitation centre

Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Joanna and I am Ala’s mother. Today I would like to ask you to support me in the battle to make my daughter an independent woman in her future life. To achieve the goal Ala needs constant and continuous rehabilitation. However, availability of services in Ireland is limited (long waiting list, understaffed centres), so we go to Zabajka2 (www.zabajka2.pl) Rehabilitation Centre in Poland. They are specialised in complex children (an adults) rehabilitation, operating under one roof, two-week rehabilitation programs. One term contains at least 5 hours of personalised, focused on needs therapies daily. That includes individual physiotherapy sessions, hand and foot therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, speech and language, innowalk (walking reeducation), equine assisted therapy, dog therapy, alpacas, swimming pool activities, massages, and many many more.
The cost is 3500€ per one two-week program and includes therapies, full board accommodation for child and parent. To achieve best results Ala needs to take at least 4 rehabilitation programs per year.
Also here at home Ala attends private weekly physiotherapy sessions at Physio Point (cost 75€), and OT (free thanks to generous therapist).

Few words about my Little Star. Ala was born in February 2018, as 10 points Apgar child. When she was 20 days old she got sepsis, meningococcal meningitis and pneumonia, she unfortunately stopped breathing for 3,5 minutes which caused a brain damage. She is diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, and global developmental delay. Ala requires 24/7 parental support and specialised equipment with all daily activities, including sitting, changing position, transferring, eating and drinking.
Despite her first diagnosis “she probably won’t recognise you” and her disability she is very active and social girl. She loves her friends and teachers at St. John’s NS, loves animals (especially reptiles, amphibians and rodents), she enjoys travel, and mess around in the kitchen. Once she even took a go-kart ride!!
So, once again please support Ala and me on that rocky road to independence.
Joanna
