Our mother, Dale Smith Eggers, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week. While this is an awful loss to navigate on its own, she has left behind 14 cats who require immediate care and rescue. As many of you know, Dale had devoted decades of her life to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming a countless number of cats. They were the loves of her life, her "furkids", and even as the number of cats in her care grew, so did her heart. No cat in need was ever turned away if he or she crossed our mother's path.

Sudden tragic events such as this one often come with unexpected expenses, so we decided to start this fund in the event Dale's beloved Facebook community whom she so deeply cherished would like to donate to the cause. Any monies generated will go directly to the care of her dear cats left behind as well as to some mortuary/cremation expenses. Any unused amount will be donated to an animal rescue local to her home or the county SPCA. In lieu of donations here, please feel free to honor Dale by donating to a cat or other animal non-profit of your choosing.
