Seeking a Safe Haven for Myself and My Beloved Dogs

Hello, I moved to Maine a month ago from NJ thinking I would have a fresh start from a horrible domestic violence situation and was promised a job and live-in helper position on 5 acres with a dog kennel and fenced yard for my 6 dogs (Husky and Husky mixed). I was also promised to learn the trade of silversmithing and that I could make money selling the jewelry. Well, the entire thing was a scam basically to use me for some free labor and maybe entertainment to torture someone, who knows. But when I spent money to get here and my family helped me move up here with all my belongings and my dogs and towed my car, which would not make the drive, I was told to go to a different address, which turned out to be a firehouse needing renovation. I was put in a one-room camp basically with no running water or bathroom. None of that was explained or told in a straightforward manner. Then I was told it would be temporary till the other place was ready. This person barely communicated. Anytime I asked what the plan for the day was, he would say he had to get propane or gas for the generator so we could have heat while we worked on stuff. He lied and said he had Wi-Fi; there was barely any service for my phone, and after 13 days of really bad service, I had to spend money I didn't want to change my phone to a local provider. All my money has gone to water, food, dog food, and gas. My mom was nice enough to pay for a month gym membership in a town about 20 minutes from here so I could shower.
Then last week, he kept talking about getting the jewelry business going, so I was like, yeah, let's get that running. I go over there (his property is a mile from where I'm at) and go to a shed that is supposed to be a workshop, and to my horrible surprise, this place looks like it hadn't been used in years. Cat shit and trash all over the floor. I was like, umm, I need a shovel to get this out, and I bagged up like 9 bags, and it still wasn't done. He only wanted to work for an hour and a half. He had COPD and gets winded easily. To note, he also always starts late, like 2 or 3 o'clock, when losing daylight is a problem because it gets extremely cold. He didn't even look grateful I cleaned a huge mess and without a mask because he did not provide one, unfortunately. The next day, I didn't feel well from breathing in all the cat litter dust and God knows what else. I texted and said I wasn't feeling great and I needed a rest, and tomorrow we could finish up the workshop cleaning. Well, he replied with a nasty comment of "not impressed." I was like, what? Then he made excuses the next day and the next not to work on anything after I texted and asked him to get better garbage bags and masks.
Shortly after that, he sends me a text saying, "I don't have what it takes to hold a live-in caretaker position." I was like, what are you talking about? Then he threatened me and said I was committing a felony! Taking advantage of an elderly disabled person! He's in his 50s, and I was never hired as his caretaker. I was lied to and hired to take care of his 25 cats and help with errands and some stuff around his property and his business. He lied and said I could be his cats' godparent and be his heir if something were to happen to him because he was sick! He also said he'd help me get a better vehicle so I could travel more with the roads being not ideal for my sedan. Everything was a lie. He kept telling me to just leave! How can I do that with no help, money, or no place to go right away! He started harassing me, saying the power would be shut off (electricity is used for heat in this camp he put me in). He said another tenant was moving in this weekend! He drove by and flipped the breaker box in the garage and shut my electricity off to terrorize me.
I am in such deep debt now all because he promised a job and opportunity. I have some stuff in storage in Auburn and need to figure out how to pay for another month. This guy really played me, and it's really shitty that people do this to other people. All I need is a safe place for me and my dogs, and I can get a job no problem. I can also cook really well and help with farm animals and horses. Not sure how much time I have here. He was told by police to stop harassing me, and he would have to file proper procedures to evict me. I don't even want to be here any longer than I have to. I don't trust that guy, and who knows what he's capable of.
Please, I don't need much, just a safe place for me and my dogs, and water and a bathroom would be nice.
