Seeking Medical Support For Upcoming Surgery

Hello everyone,

My name is Roxanne Young, a freelance professional dancer and licensed massage therapist currently living in Brooklyn, NY. I have an upcoming surgery for my right foot and it will remove my ganglion cyst.

A ganglion cyst forms when there is a small tear in the sleeve of thin tissue that covers a joint or tendon. If a cyst puts pressure on the nerves of the hand, wrist, ankle, or foot, it can cause pain, tingling, and muscle weakness or interfere with joint movement. If left untreated, ganglion cysts can burst and cause blood poisoning.

I'm looking to raise $7,000 to help pay for the medical expenses, rent for the month of December and January, utilities, WiFi, transportation (while I'll be on crutches), groceries, phone bill and other expenses. My surgery date for my right foot is December 5th and I will be out of work for the rest of the month to take the time to fully heal and recover.

Also, I recently been scammed through Instagram from a fake model agency called TMI Model Firm and I lost over $5,000, which I truly regret and still extremely embarrassed that it ever happened. Normally, I wouldn't dare to reach out to people and asking for help, but I'm in a dire need.
