On January 16th, 2025, my aunt was arrested in her home due to her employer of 32 years. Prior to this incident, an executive employee displayed acts of intimidating behavior that directly contributed to violence in the workplace against her, creating a toxic and unsafe work environment. Despite her reporting the matter and clear evidence of the executive's actions, leadership continued to dismiss valid discrimination claims, further demonstrating their complicity in fostering a harmful job culture.

After her arrest, she is not allowed to return to work, and her health insurance is gone. She will be unable to continue necessary medical and psychiatric treatment. Rent and utilities payments are in jeopardy, as well as pension benefits since her employer has commenced termination action.

Throughout the years, my aunt has helped numerous people obtain jobs, given good advice, and provided financial assistance whenever she was asked to do so. She is embarrassed to have to ask for assistance with rent, utilities, and groceries.
