In July 2024, our youngest daughter disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by two males in a different state(Her other parent's house). Like many parents facing similar situations, because the two offenders were minors(10&12 then), we cannot pursue criminal charges, and the case was turned over to child services. Child services then failed to properly investigate the case on their end, including never speaking with "H" before closing the case. Even though both males(Now 12&14) admitted to the assaults.

We are now having to go through family court for the sole purpose of keeping a protective order in place to keep the two males from having access to our daughter.

Unfortunately, this means long drives out of state, missing school/work, and having to pay for caregivers for our other children when we go out of state.

In the last 12 months, we have had to make this out-of-state trip 6 times, with three more court dates in the upcoming 3 weeks.

We are currently closing in on $18,000 in court and legal fees alone in these 12 months, with more bills coming in each week. Please share our story and donate if you would like.
