Early Friday morning on September 5th, around 2:30 am, my dad was driving home from his night shift when his life changed in an instant.

On the 605 going North bound a little after Telegraph Road, A speeding driver hit him from behind near a construction site, causing him to lose control and crash into the center divider. His car flipped and rolled three times before coming to a stop upside down. An elderly couple that sadly had no time to react to the wreck in front of them, hit my dad on the side while he was hanging upside down. Miraculously, with the help of CHP officers, my dad was able to free himself.

Hours later, my sister and I received the call that no family ever wants to hear, "your dad has been in an accident". My dad was rushed to the nearest hospital and stayed for evaluation until Saturday afternoon.

By nothing short of a miracle, my dad survived with bruises and cuts, but this traumatic accident has left our family shaken and facing new challenges. Unfortunately, the driver who caused the initial crash fled the scene, leaving my dad behind for dead.

• Cover any unexpected  insurance expenses, etc

Our dad should not have survived this horrific crash, but we are beyond grateful he is still here with us.
