Supporting Our Mum Through Her Cancer Healing Journey

Hi everyone,

We Kai, Zali and Maya, are reaching out with open hearts as three children standing beside the strongest woman we know- our beautiful mumma, Lynn- who is bravely facing her healing journey with stage four SCC throat and neck cancer (non smoking related).

Over the past three weeks Mum has had surgery for a feeding tube, and been undergoing intense daily chemotherapy & radiation treatments with incredible strength & determination. Treatment will be seven weeks in total with a long recovery afterwards.

Through the Grace of being a close family and with our beautiful supportive friends, we have been managing pretty well. Some moments now are weighing quite heavy & we are aware it’s early days.

The emotional & physical toll of cancer is immense, but what often goes unseen is the financial strain that comes along with it & the expenses very quickly add up, including a very badly timed large rent increase.

As a family, we are doing all we can to support Mum but we’ve come to a point where we have chosen to reach out. This GoFundMe is for those who have asked how they can support Mum/us or, would like to contribute in some way. Every offer of kindness counts whether it’s a donation, a message or prayer.
