Seeking Assistance from Apartment Fire

Hi all, my name is Nikki and I’m here seeking assistance to help my mom and siblings who lost all they had, including IDs and passports, in a fire at an apartment complex. They only have the clothes on their backs.

They live in Miami Gardens, 177th St.

It’s too soon to know the cause, as the fire is currently going as I type this, but the already known issue is my family didn’t have renters insurance.

We have never done anything like this before, and it’s hard to put ourselves out there, but I know it’ll take a village to attempt to get help with the physical part of this journey.

They'll need a hotel temporarily, then another place to stay till there’s a rebuild (if that’s the determination), food, clothes, medical care from smoke inhalation, falling down the stairs, etc.

My mom is 63 and on meds daily, my youngest brother is still in High School. My younger sister who lives with them do work and so she and I will be footing all of this, but we just won’t be able to do it all.
