Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. I'm currently in a situation that many of us have faced lately, thanks to the current circumstances, where I'm at risk of losing my home. I've exhausted every possible avenue, from seeking state and local help to consulting lawyers and exploring loans. We're out of options and currently seeking any possible help. Long story short, a new landlord company took over and messed with our paperwork for two months, so we fell behind on rent. We were able to handle a sizable chunk of it, but a large amount still needs to be paid. On top of that, we're being charged insane prices for utilities that I don't think anyone could afford. We're seeking legal help to determine if we can fight back, but the chances of obtaining legal advice before we're evicted are very slim. I'm sorry to ask for help during a time when everyone is struggling; even the smallest amount of help is appreciated. Thank you so much, and I hope everyone is safe and cared for. The risk of being evicted due to landlords treating us like nothing more than numbers has done immeasurable damage to low-income communities.
