Help me get an emotional support animal and companion.
Donation protected
I am a disabled senior citizen in need of an emotional support animal/companion. I have been diagnosed with major depression. Most of the time I am doing pretty good, but an empty apartment is very quiet which can be very depressing.
I have searched the shelters, but the average 'donation ' is $500 - 600. On a fixed income, I cannot save up that much.
I would like to get a Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier). I have been doing a lot of reading and researching, so I think I know what to expect. Yorkies are small so I can easily pick him/her up, in need of several short walks a day to encourage me to get out and get some sunshine and exercise, and have a happy disposition to lift me out of a down mood (or prevent it altogether). And they are so darn cute!
I am working with a small rescue, Coast 2 Coast Rescue, out of Eugene, Oregon. The worker I am working with states they get all kinds of dogs from out of state. She will be helping me get the right dog for me. All funds over what are needed to get my fur- baby set up (adoption, first vet visit, license, etc) will be donated to the rescue to help someone else in need.
Thank you for your support.
Blessings,
