Hello everyone, I am Russell Shaffer and I started this fundraiser out of the love for my wife. Her eyes have suddenly taken a turn for the worse and she can't see to get around the house. She needs surgery in both eyes to get her eyesight back. She has Medicare and I only have Social Security retirement. Medicare will pay part of it, and I have to come up with &2,895 that is not covered. They won't do surgery unless I pay upfront. I have to turn to my faith that with a lot of help and love, which I know this world is full of, we can make this happen. I have faith that we can all do this one dollar at a time. When it's all over, I will 100% pay it forward to help someone who gets in a similar situation. God bless this land and the people in it.
