In late 2024, a fire took my home and my business office. I lost almost everything. After nearly two years of paperwork, cleanup, and planning, I'm finally ready to start rebuilding Spirit Creek Gardens from the ground up.
Why now, almost two years later?
After a fire, rebuilding doesn't start the next day. The past two years have gone into insurance claims, permits, paperwork, and clearing the site. The video and photos here show what that cleanup looked like, from a burnt-out foundation full of debris to a cleared, filled lot ready to build on.
I'm still working through insurance, and I'm hopeful it will help cover part of the rebuild. But those processes are slow, and some things can't wait. I need to start somewhere, and this fundraiser is that start.
If insurance or other funding comes through, every dollar raised here will still go to rebuilding: my home, the business office, and getting Spirit Creek Gardens and the Seeds of Kindness program growing again.
What Spirit Creek Gardens is about...
Spirit Creek Gardens is my small business here near Rama, Saskatchewan. The Seeds of Kindness program, launching soon, will send out seed packets that people plant and pass along, sharing their planting stories on a community map at scgardens.ca.
How you can help...
Any donation, big or small, helps me get started. If you can't give right now, sharing this page with friends and family helps just as much. I'll post updates here as the rebuild moves forward.
Thank you for reading, and for any kindness you can send my way.
