Seeds Of Service Project SOS

Five years ago today, we opened the doors to a very amazing nonprofit ministry called the Visitation Relief Center, located at 725 Mantoloking Rd. in Brick NJ 08723. With the support and blessing of our parish, the Visitation Roman Catholic Church.

We are so very proud to let everyone know that the Visitation Relief Center has started the process of applying for our own 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit status. We have received our Certificate of Incorporation, and with much thought, we have renamed the ministry to:

Our Mission is to support God’s love in action by bringing youth and young adults together with opportunities to serve, advocate, and care for those faced with adversity

To assist and advocate for the sick, the poor and the needy, in services and programs designed to meet the needs of persons with special needs, disabilities, at-risk behaviors regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender.

To educate and prepare youth and young adults struggling with special needs, disabilities, or at-risk behaviors with job readiness skills through opportunities to give service and participate in structure activities.

To accommodate youth and young adult volunteer teams and mission groups, regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender, with short-term housing while they participate in service projects to assist the sick, the poor, and the needy throughout the community.

To collaborate with other community service agencies, without regard to religious
affiliation, in order to coordinate and cooperate in serving and meeting the needs of persons with special needs, disabilities, at-risk behaviors, the sick, the poor and the needy throughout the community.

The Visitation Roman Catholic Church will continue to be our fiscal sponsors as they have been in the past, until we receive our tax-exempt certificate.

As many know, we are currently located at 1930 Rt. 88 Brick, NJ 08724. We have been very thankful to serve at this temporary location for the past year, as it has allowed us to provide services through our Open-Choice Food Pantry, Household Goods program, Clothing program, Framing Hope program, Financial Counselling, and our Youth and Young Adult Job Preparedness program. However, it is time for us to return home and re-open all 26 of our community outreach programs at 725 Mantoloking Rd.

Please help us share to as many friends and families as possible.
