Dearest Family and Friends,
Becky and I are writing with full hearts to share what God has done—and what we believe He is about to do again.
In 2023, I stepped onto the red clay roads of Togo for the first time. I didn’t know what to expect—only that God had said “Go”—and I answered, “Yes, Lord.” I preached for the first time in small villages tucked beneath fruit trees, prayed with pastors and taught youth workers, and sat with young men and women whose hunger for God’s Word was deeper than I had ever seen. It was humbling. We handed out thousands of Bibles in heart languages to the faithful, but poor—for many, it was the only Bible they would ever own. And we watched as the Holy Spirit softened hearts, opened eyes, and witnessed several hundred people come to faith in Christ. That trip forever changed how I saw missions, discipleship, and the global Church.
In 2024, Becky joined me as we expanded the work into Rwanda and Tanzania, collaborating with an incredible team of students, pastors, and missionaries through NC Baptists and Christ Cares 4 U Ministries. We hosted a national conference, partnered with local churches for village crusades, and even began ministering in hospitals—offering not just prayer, but hope in our faith and our presence, in places where many feel forgotten. We saw hundreds more come to faith, and distributed just as many Bibles, the light of the Gospel broke through the strongholds of witchcraft and spiritual darkness.
Now, in 2025, God is calling us back to Togo, to return to the very soil where the first seeds in me were planted. This trip is more than a revisit—it’s a reaping. We will reunite with many of the same pastors and churches from the 2023 mission, now bearing fruit, and we will meet new churches, pastors and villages. We will once again partner with Christ Cares 4 U Ministries, Way of Grace International, and the NC Baptists, as well as Pastor Adedeji Akande and Eglise Baptiste El-Shaddai—a remarkable ministry working across denominational lines to equip believers living in poverty to become pastors, disciple makers, and spiritual leaders. Their vision is to raise up a nation of priests who will walk in the knowledge of God and fulfill the Great Commission, both in their land and in neighboring countries. We are honored to support and strengthen that work.
Our mission this year is more focused and refined. We will:
• Host five leadership seminars per week, grounded in Scripture
• Continue village evangelism, evening services, and school outreach
• Minister in prisons and hospitals
• And distribute over 2,000 Bibles, donated through generous partners who believe in the power of God's Word.
But we cannot go without help.
The total trip cost for the duration of the two-week mission trip is $2,500 per person, which includes all on-the-ground expenses: food, lodging, ministry supplies, and transportation—what we refer to as “landing fees.” The airfare, which is approximately $1,500, is included in the total trip cost.
We are asking for partners—both in prayer and, if possible, financial support. If God is stirring your heart to give, we would be incredibly grateful.
Whether you give or pray—or both—please know this: Your support isn’t just sending us. It is sowing into a movement of discipleship, healing, and Gospel hope in places desperate for truth.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We will keep you updated with stories, photos, and praise reports as we see what the Lord does this time. We believe the fields are ripe again—and we are ready to work in the fields to reap what God has already begun.
With Love & Gratitude,
In Christ’s Service,
Jonathan & Becky Ayers
