This fun-filled day of food, culture, and learning is a mainstay of building and sustaining food sovereignty in Zambia's Eastern Province. Lundazi is a small agrarian community in the heart of sub-saharan Africa - exactly the place where strengthening small farmers and culturally appropriate foodways is most crucial for ensuring food sovereignty.
Please give your financial support to make sure African and agroecological seeds, practices, culture and food stays firmly at the heart of how people continue to feed themselves and their community in Lundazi district, Zambia.
Funds will be used by Lundazi-based Khumbilo Agroecology Services to organise, host and support farmers and community members to hold this popular Traditional Food and Seed Fair for all the people of Lundazi District.
*Please note: the fair was originally scheduled for June 4th but was rescheduled in view of the current Zambian Elections and to allow effective preparations.
My Food is African! My Food is Zambian!
