Jazmin was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer in April of 2019 after having given birth to their 4th child, their little princess Elizabeth Rose. She had various complications throughout her pregnancy that were signs of the cancer but were attributed to the pregnancy. She is a beautiful mother to four children Jason 6, Christian 5, Xavier 3 and Elizabeth 1 and is happily married and madly in love with her husband Ulysses.
She underwent chemotherapy, radiation and a hysterectomy in the summer of 2019 and in October of 2019 results showed that there were no signs of cancer in her body. With hope, another round of chemotherapy was scheduled to lessen the chances of her aggressive cancer coming back.
Within a few weeks clotting became an issue and her lower extremities became extremely swollen. Her pain in the lower back continued to progress and she became very frail, the effects of the chemotherapy and radiation were taking a toll on her body.
On New Year's Eve, Jazmin was rushed to the emergency room. She was slurring her speech and was having difficulty controlling the movements of her limbs. Upon arrival the medical professionals concluded that she had a minor stroke, the blood thinners caused a brain bleed.
Since the beginning of the year, she's been in and out of hospitals and has been through numerous setbacks. She takes one step forward and a few steps back, but if there is something we all know about Jazmin is that she is persistent. Recent scans showed that she now has tumors present in her colon, pelvis and bladder.
With the COVID situation and the precautions being taken, Jazmin has been alone while staying at the hospital. With her conditions not improving she made the decision to check herself out of the hospital and be around family.
If Jazmin does not receive treatment of any kind the doctors have told her that her next few weeks are precious. This campaign is primarily dedicated to helping Jazmin with medical and related life expenses. Should the situation change, any funds remaining will be managed by her husband Ulysses Figueroa and used for school expenses and college funding for their four children.
We are full of hope and faith. If you know Jazmin, you know that she brings light to any situation. She sees the positive and leaves you feeling uplifted. She's been battling and wants to continue to fight.
Let's knock her socks off and come together to give Jazmin what insurances won't cover.
