In May of 2020 I found out that I have Stage 4 Large B-cell Lymphoma (cancer of the blood and lymphatic system) with Hemolytic Anemia. Hemolytic anemia is an autoimmune condition where my B-cells are creating antibodies against my red blood cells. My spleen then gets disgruntled and decides to kill off these red blood cells making my hemoglobin drop dangerously low. I have had 5 blood transfusions so far to keep me going so I can get enough oxygen to keep my life breath alive. Dying was not on my agenda yet.
I recently found an amazing naturopath in Ohio who is well-versed in cancer and seems to have the skill to guide me through this mess without using chemotherapy. I am not so sure I would get through chemo that easily. She uses a cutting edge metabolic, functional medicine approach to cancer. I have been following her protocol for a week now and already see that the hemolysis of my red blood cells is declining and the swelling in my ankles is going down. I would be thrilled if I could start gaining back some of the 20 lbs I have lost.
As one might expect my insurance does not cover a naturopath. My consultations, the labs and the meds are all adding up to more than my budget allows. My present work is taking care of my now 100 year-old father and his house. I don't have the strength to work more than this. I know these are hard times for many of us, so asking is not my favorite thing to do. If you have $10 or $20 dollars or more that you can part with...god bless....It'll come back around I am sure. I hope your heart is well. These are transforming times!
