Seda's Journey: From Surgeries to Homelessness

H-E-L-P Me Rebuild, I'm Almost There....

Hello, my name is Seda. I'm a 68-year-old retired hairdresser.

Thank you for reading my story.

To keep it brief, in 14 years I've had 18 surgeries: 13 C-spine and L-spine, and 5 shoulder, now with a prosthetic shoulder. Just in the last 5 years, I've had 4 L-spine and one C-spine. Until last June, my final one where it's left me irreparably damaged and my only recourse would be a complete spine fusion top to bottom or insert a spine cord stimulator.

Needless to say, I have gone from working 2 jobs all my life, working out 5x a week, and volunteering with my beloved USO, to having left leg neuropathy, a shifted L3-L4 off my spine, unstable legs, and difficulty walking or standing for more than 2 hours at a time.

I've also been diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases that have stripped me of very important gut health and the ability to absorb nutrients from food.

I feel like my whole world shifted and I don't recognize who I am and what my life has become. You can see by my pictures what stress and illnesses does, I feel like I've aged 20 years, I look horrible

Because I had to tap into my savings by last December, I ran out of my savings and became homeless on December 8th. Because of my health issues, I tried desperately not to live in my car, spending my social security money on hotels. But that would only last me a couple of weeks and it's been hell since December 8th.

I reached out to 211 emergency services and they had nothing available for seniors. I've called my senator's office, my congressman's office, and Gavin Newsom's office. I wrote to President Trump (not lying) because I am desperate to come inside and live in a normal environment.

I'm not trying to get a handout, just a leg up. I just keep falling into the same loop where I apply and get rejected because my credit score is 50 points too low.

I'm just looking for a one time help just to get me to the finish line.

In my mind I keep thinking if I can just give them 6 months of rent up front, they wouldn't turn me down & I'd have a better chance.

But my hope is in God first and I can feel that I'm so close finally after 6 months. But I just need a little help because it's been brutal to say the least.

Again, thank you for reading my story. I'm finally, after never asking for help in my life, admitting that I need help. Just a little help to get me to the finish line.

I was taught to never ask for help but I don't have family & I'm suffering, so I'm asking if it's put on your heart to donate then thank you and if not, if you could please pray for me that God will fulfill His promises to me.
