I recently received fantastic news! I will be attending medical school this fall! My dream on becoming a primary care physician to care for those who are disenfranchised is finally coming true.
Throughout my life, I have persevered through the challenges and disadvantages that I have had to face. Very early on in my childhood, I learned the meaning of hard work from my parents, who are immigrant blue collar workers. My experiences led me on a path to medicine so that I could foster healthy relationships, social interactions, and build solidarity with my community.
Going to medical school will give me the corpus of knowledge that will help me establish stronger relationships with those unfamiliar with the health care system. God has opened a door for me so that I can become a catalyst for health promotion and disease prevention in my community. Help me get through that door! This means everything to me. Please help me raise $2,278 to secure my seat in medical school ! I am grateful for all your help :).
NB: An addendum to this gofundme campaign was made to account for the gofundme/wepay fees deducted from the donations as well as other admission checklist related items.
