I've never created a GoFundMe before, but here we go.
Hello, it's me! Marciano Martinez.
I am asking for any assistance possible to help with the $1,000 deposit I'll need to move into a particular 55+ community that has a current availability. I can absolutely afford the rent and utilities once I'm in there. I just don't have the $1,000 deposit because I just paid my monthly rent (which is $25 more than where I am trying to go) at my current location. Any contribution would be helpful and VERY MUCH appreciated.
I am currently living in a 1bd 1ba apartment in the worst area of the city. There are gunshots 3-4 times a week, and my neighbor is a hoarder who is clearly dealing with mental issues and substance abuse disorder. My current residence has become very unsafe. I've uploaded a photo of the horrible condition of the property where I'm at. This just one small area. It looks like a junk yard littered with broken furniture, appliances that don't work, and two broken down cars. My neighbor just keeps making it worse.
I've been clean and sober for approximately 4 years and have accomplished so much within that time.
For a living, I work with people who are experiencing homelessness, substance use disorder, and facing mental challenges.
After working in this chaotic environment all day, I'd like to be able, at the end of the day, to come home to a calm, peaceful, safe place.
I know $ is tight for everyone right now, but I'd be deeply grateful for any help you can offer.
