Chris has been part of our community for more than 30 years. Many may know her from her time working at the New 2 You thrift store, or from around Berryvale, and those who’ve met her know how kind she is. Unfortunately, she is going to lose the already unstable shelter she’s been relying on: small shed without heat, and her situation has really become an emergency.
Chris has faced decades of homelessness and health challenges, which make her circumstances complex and deeply personal. Chris, like so many of us, still values and deserves privacy and respect. We ask that no unnecessary opinions be shared and that this matter is handled delicately when it comes to discussing these issues with Chris.
Our primary goal is to secure long-term, dependable housing for Chris. We are actively seeking someone with land where a camper, small cabin, or a heated/powered shed could be placed/used. In the meantime, temporary solutions are urgently needed. Funds may also go toward short-term measures such as hotel rooms during the most dangerous winter nights, but the primary focus remains on establishing a lasting, safe home for her.
Any support, big or small will go directly toward Chris. If you cannot support financially, but have other means or leads of support (land, campers, cabins, gear, supplies) please reach out at help shasta Chris at gmail dot com (gofundme is finicky about adding emails in the descriptions, look to the banner photo if there is any confusion about the email name, or reach out via your gofundme account)
