Secure Naomi's Future Success

Naomi is a proud member of the Kenwood Academy class of 2025 and will be attending Eastern Illinois University in the Fall. She is radically empathic, an innovative thinker, and a talented artist. She has been an exemplary student, and is a student that teachers simply love to have in class. She is a leader in every sense of the word, but not through typical avenues like being class president. She leads in more profound ways: through being a trusted friend, through checking in with someone she notices is down, or through bringing humor to her peers through an apt observation or self-deprecating joke, just when it's needed. She is a kind, creative young person with endless potential.

Naomi's journey to this point has not been easy, nor has it been predictable. Naomi lost her mother to cancer about midway through her senior year. As she continues to cope with such a loss, she was dealt another blow: her family's house will be foreclosed on in June, and Naomi has been informed that she'll be "on her own" as her father and younger sibling leave for Texas. She needs to find a place to live until leaving for school, and for in between semesters, in addition to funds to support herself on her journey through college.

Naomi has teachers and friends in her corner, but we need your help in aiding Naomi financially. We want to secure a safety net for Naomi so that she can be afforded the same opportunities and freedoms of choice to which everyone should have access.
