Standing With Me Through the Fight of My Life
I never imagined I would be writing something like this again.
Recently, my life changed in ways I’m still trying to process. I’ve been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (PTLD) and a brain tumor. Hearing those words has been overwhelming, frightening, and humbling all at once. Some days I feel strong and hopeful; other days I’m just trying to make it through the moment.
I have spent almost 10 years working at a 911 Center—being there for others during their worst days. Now, I find myself on the other side, facing uncertainty about my health, my future, and my ability to continue doing the job I love. Depending on how treatment and prognosis unfold, I may be forced into early retirement, something I never planned for and never wanted.
This fundraiser is to help relieve the growing financial stress that comes with serious illness. All donations will be kept in a separate account and used to help cover future medical bills, treatments, medications, and other expenses that may arise as I navigate what comes next.
If my health allows—and depending on my prognosis—I may also use some of these funds to travel, not as a luxury, but as a way to create meaningful moments, peace, and memories during a time when tomorrow feels uncertain. More than anything, I want to experience life fully while I am able.
Asking for help does not come easily to me. But right now, support means everything—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Every donation, share, message, or prayer reminds me that I’m not facing this alone.
Thank you for standing with me during the most brutal fight of my life. Your kindness, generosity, and compassion mean more than I can ever put into words.
With deep gratitude,
Jason
