Hi my name is Lauren and on December 27th, 2024, my brother, Christopher, went to the ER after days of being extremely sick, thinking he probably had COVID. After they ran some tests, they found that he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was immediately transported to Mayo in Rochester where he has been receiving treatment since. We have come to realize over the past month that this is going to be a long journey. Because of the seriousness of his diagnosis, they have been keeping him in Rochester with the leading specialists in the world for Leukemia. We do not know when he will be able to come back to Eau Claire where he and his 8 year old daughter, Kiara, live. Even as he is about to be discharged from inpatient care, he still has to remain in Rochester while continuing to receive care and eventually a bone marrow transplant, so lodging is tricky. That is why I have set up this fundraiser. I am hoping to raise money for lodging, food, and any other needs, so that we can secure comfortable housing for my brother while he fights this disease. Any additional funds will be used to help provide for Kiara anything that she may need during this time.
