Donation protected
Dear community,
This is Em Dorman, a close friend of Eryn Rideout (they/them).
Eryn is a kind hearted person and advocate for their community. Sadly, there have been recent changes in their life which have caused instability, anxiety, and depression. Thus contributing to our need to create this gofundme to raise support!
Eryn moved from Colorado to Boston two years ago to start a career in biotech shortly after graduating college. They quickly realized biotech was not for them, but was stuck in a contract for another year. Having to work 10-12 hour evening shifts for over a year in a career they knew wasn’t for them caused multiple mental breakdowns, many hospital visits, and the eventual exit from biotech. Since then, Eryn has lost their health insurance, causing them to lose their therapist and having to pay out of pocket for a psychiatrist and the medicine they need to survive.
To have any sort of income, Eryn has been working two part-time jobs that have not been able to cover their basic living expenses. And as of last week, they had to quit one of their part-time jobs due to racial harassment from a white male coworker.
Eryn is in immediate need of funding before they lose their apartment because they cannot currently afford their rent, and the landlord just raised rent by $100 more.
They also have no family living in Boston or the Northeast and are estranged from their parents.
Eryn is at risk for homelessness & I believe in the communities ability to share and get the funds needed to support.
Everything was written with Eryn’s consent & the funds are going directly to them for the following: housing stability, food, access to medicine, and whatever else they need.
Please keep in mind that funds do take a week if donated through gofundme while they confirm bank information.
❗️Urgent funds sent directly to Eryn’s venmo is greatly appreciated: @Eryn-Rideout
Thank you once again for reading and sharing
