On April 1st, Alex, his girlfriend Haley, and their two children made the hopeful move to Oregon, seeking better job opportunities and to be closer to me, Haley’s mom. Since then, he has undergone two surgeries and now requires 24-hour care for at least the first six weeks of recovery.
