Amplify the Voices of Maryland's Self-Directed Community
Donation protected
First it was the new manual. Now it’s the proposed waiver. Both threaten the very foundation of self-direction in Maryland.
Participants, families, and vendors are already struggling—and it’s getting worse. We’re hearing from people across the state facing:
Delayed or denied payments
Cuts to critical services and caregiver wages
Mounting red tape and bureaucratic hurdles
An impossible time finding—and keeping—staff
These challenges aren’t isolated—they’re the direct result of recent DDA policy changes.
We can’t afford to stay quiet. Now is the time to come together and raise our voices.
Help us fight back as we did during the legislative session and had approximately 65% of the cuts restored thanks to collective action. But we are not done as witnessed with the new waiver proposal. Help us protect choice, dignity, and self-direction.
Your contribution fuels our advocacy, powers our outreach to lawmakers, and strengthens our voice with the Moore-Miller administration through professional representation.
Together, we can make sure they listen.
Together, we can make change.
But we need your support—now.
