Secure Abby and Colin's Future Amid Crisis

Donation protected
My name is Megan, I'm 40 years old, and I'm a single mom of 2 amazing kids, Abby and Colin. I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer 9.5 years ago, when my babies were 3 and 7, and now they are 13 and 17! I've had a good run. I am SO lucky to have been able to be with them for this long. But now, my cancer has spread to my bones, and my time here now has a realistic expiration date. Just in the last 2 years, I have endured countless surgeries and around 3 months total in the hospital, away from my children, and I have also had a dozen chemotherapy sessions and 10 radiation sessions. Unfortunately, there will be more of that ahead. I should be helping my daughter pick dresses for prom, and taking her on college visits, and helping her enjoy every minute of her senior year next year! But instead, I will likely die during it, and she will remember that, instead of all the great stuff you're supposed to remember. My heart breaks each time something comes up at school, like prom or a field trip, for example, because my kids have begun hiding these things because they don't want to ask because they know we can't afford it. They don't even know that my savings has all been spent and that I've had to start dipping into the money I've saved for them as well. The creditors are calling, the hospitals keep sending me bills, and we are living in a 2-bedroom apartment with me sleeping on the couch in the living room. Therefore, I am trying to raise this money for so many things:

First and foremost, Abby has been accepted to an amazing student leadership conference this summer, and we need to raise funds for that, or else she will have to forfeit her spot. Even though she was granted a need-based scholarship, we still need to come up with at least $4000 by May 24th to cover the remainder of the fee, plus travel and food costs.

Secondly, being a single mom on disability in one of the most expensive places in the US has not been easy financially. I am really struggling to keep the lights on, as they say, but also food in their bellies and a roof over their heads. Have you seen the price of eggs?! (Jkjk) So I'm asking (I think this feels like begging) that you kindly consider donating extra so I can put money aside for the kids and pay off the debts I have.

Third, fourth, fifth, sixth, so on and so on, please, please, send this link to everyone you know because I am also in need of medical equipment, funeral costs, and the never ending hospital bills, etc. I don't want them to have to worry about anything once I'm gone.

Thank you all for reading my story. I appreciate you for taking the time to hear our story, and I hope you will consider choosing us to donate some of your hard-earned money to. If not, I totally understand. This economy, amirite? ✌ Peace and love!

**Edited to add: Someone mentioned that I should put my Venmo here. I put it in an update, but some people don't read those so I'm going to add it here.
