Update: I have moved to a temporary living arrangement with family, but still have not found an income. Im still needing food for myself and the animals and medication in the meantime. Hi, my name is Maeve.

I’m a disabled survivor trying to escape an emotionally unsafe living environment — not just for me, but for my cat, who has been my anchor through some of the hardest moments of my life.

I left an abusive marriage, and recently found myself in another situation that has become very similarly unhealthy. I’ve tried to make it work. I’ve been patient, quiet, and accommodating — but the cost has become unbearable. And now I’ve been asked to leave.

Right now, I have no job, no car, and no access to consistent support. The few resources I do receive are being used for survival basics: food, medication, and the care of my cat.

I’m asking for help to:

• Cover basic moving expenses and pet supplies

• Rebuild a foundation of emotional and mental safety —

I have found a place to stay but I could still use help getting back on my feet.

Even a few dollars helps. Sharing helps. Seeing me helps.

I know things are hard for so many people right now. If you’re not in a place to give, I completely understand. But if you can, please help me create a life where I’m no longer just surviving for my cat — but living with him, safely and freely.
