My name is Amal, and I am a mother of four beautiful children: Ghada, Lama, Samir, and little Maryam.
Every mother dreams of giving her children safety, stability, and hope. Today, that is all I am fighting for.
After everything our family has endured, we were finally able to move from a tent into a small rented home. This would not have been possible without the incredible kindness of people around the world, and I will always be grateful.
But our journey is far from over.
Every month, I worry about paying the rent, providing food, clothing, and the basic necessities my children need. My greatest fear is losing the small sense of safety we have finally found.
