Help my cats and I not face homelessness due to being laid off from work induced by budget cuts. I am a 22-year-old Latina college student currently attending my university to receive my degree in Public Health. I hope to use my degree to give back to my community but cannot do so if I am forced to leave school due to homelessness.

I have been making daily and active efforts to find a job anywhere in Southern California; however, due to the oversaturated population and bleak job market, I have been unable to land a job. I do not own a car, so rideshare and delivery services are not an option, and my job search has been limited to businesses within walking distance of bus routes.

My family is unable to help me as I come from an immigrant and first-generation household, so my family members can only afford to make their own respective ends meet. I do not want to give up on university and do not want to be forced out of Southern California as I have found the best community and people here as my support system.
