Because Mowing Lawns Just Wasn't Cutting It!!

Hey y’all — we’re Section8Motorsports, a fearless (and maybe slightly unhinged) group of eight friends from New England who decided that mowing lawns just wasn’t cutting it. So naturally, we’re turning our mowers into full-on racing machines and hitting the dirt track!

We race because it’s fun, it’s family, and let’s face it — who hasn’t wanted to rip a lawnmower around a dirt oval at full speed?

Who We Are

We’re just your neighbors, family, friends and coworkers who love to get our hands dirty, turn wrenches, and build something wild together. We’re not pros, we’re not doing this for profit — every cent raised goes directly into:

• Building out our fleet of racing mowers (from the ground up!)

• Safety gear and apparel for all racers

• Trailers, memberships, and travel costs for out-of-state races

• Repairs and maintenance (because stuff will break)

• And best of all — giving back to our communities across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut

We believe in supporting others who share the same passion. Whether it’s donating to local charities or helping new racers get their start, we love to support our competition… and then battle them on the track!

Why We’re Asking for Support

We’re open to any level of support — from a few bucks to long-term sponsorships. Sponsors will get:

• Decals on one or all mowers (depending on level)

• Social media shoutouts

• And eternal bragging rights for helping launch New England’s most absurd, awesome motorsports team.

So if you’ve ever looked at your lawn and thought, “This could be faster,” — now’s your chance to be part of something wild, loud, and full of heart. Think Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor, but in real life.

Meet the Team (8 and Growing!)

• Bruce & Erica – Our marriage is never dull — just like those mower blades. More hobbies mean more fun together (and a few extra arguments over spark plugs).

• Lora & Mike – Their relationship started low and slow in flat-kart racing. Now they’re stepping it up a notch — well, a few feet, since mowers really do sit higher.

• Tim & George – A father/son duo who already drive each other nuts on the asphalt, so they figured they might as well take it to the dirt too.

• Tyrod – Racing runs in his blood. And nothing extends a legacy quite like throwing a wrench in it — trading race cars for ride-ons!

• Alex – The undisputed king of spare parts (yep, that’s also the name of his kart). If he can’t make it faster — who are we kidding — he will make it faster.
